Train Simulator: Grand Central Class 180 'Adelante' DMU Add-On

The Class 180 'Adelante' makes its entrance into Train Simulator, beautifully presented in the distinctive Grand Central Trains livery. These five-car sets, constructed by Alstom between 2000 and 2001, were originally commissioned by First Great Western to bolster express services between London Paddington and South Wales. Part of the Coradia 1000 family, which includes the popular Class 175, the 'Adelante' has experienced a varied operational history, including being returned to their leasing company ahead of schedule in 2009.

Despite facing reliability challenges, only 14 units were built, and they continue to operate today under various train operators, including Grand Central Trains. Notably, these units can reach speeds of 125 mph (201 km/h) thanks to their powerful Cummins QSK19 diesel engine, making them the world's only diesel-powered high-speed train with a diesel-hydraulic transmission.

This add-on features realistic details such as a signal bell, an open/close coupling hatch, and a working TMS system. The Class 180 is Quick Drive compatible, enabling you to explore different routes. Additionally, three engaging scenarios for the East Coast Main Line: London-Peterborough route are included, promising exciting train-driving experiences.
