The Jester's special abilities are designed to turn the tide of battle in your favor. When attacked, your juggling skills distract your opponent, forcing them to reduce their attack roll by 1 (minimum of 1). Rather than engage in combat, you can choose to impress other characters with your performance, stealing one gold piece in the process.

In encounters with creatures, roll a die and add your Fate. If the total exceeds the creature's Strength or Craft, you can evade the encounter. Additionally, visiting the City, Tavern, or Village allows you to perform and earn gold, while a stop at the Castle grants you free healing up to your life value.
