Designed for freight services on Germany's expansive rail network, this low-emission engine was built in Canada by General Motors. Based on the UK's Class 66 diesel locomotive, the BR 266 features an appearance reminiscent of its British counterpart, but boasts a specialized internal control desk tailored for German rail systems.
Operated by various German hauliers, including Euro Cargo Rail, HGK, Rail4Chem, and HHPI, the BR 266 is frequently utilized for hauling heavy freight across Germany and Western Europe. In the game, players can immerse themselves in realistic operations, complete with the SIFA driver vigilance and PZB/LZB signaling systems.
