Train Simulator: The Riviera Line: Exeter-Paignton Route Add-On description
Experience the charm of the English Riviera with the Riviera Line: Exeter-Paignton route add-on for Train Simulator. This captivating journey takes you through 28 miles (45 km) of stunning landscapes along the south-west coast of England, where mild climates and sandy beaches greet you at every turn. Opened in May 1846, this historic line originally operated on a broad gauge and was built to accommodate holidaymakers traveling from Exeter to the popular Torbay resorts of Devon.
The route features a combination of scenic seaside running along the famous South Devon Railway sea wall and winding tracks that navigate through rocky coves and tunnels, providing breathtaking views and excellent photo opportunities. Along the way, you’ll pass key locations such as Powderham Castle, Dawlish Warren, and Newton Abbot. The non-electrified line is served by modern high-speed DMUs, including the iconic Class 143 ‘Pacer’ and Quick Drive compatible High-Speed Train (HST) in First Great Western livery.
With six included scenarios and access to additional scenarios via Steam Workshop, the Riviera Line: Exeter-Paignton add-on promises countless hours of immersive gameplay. Join the adventure and explore one of England’s most picturesque routes!
