The BR423 is a notable addition to Train Simulator, capturing the essence of Germany's city commuter routes. This electric multiple unit (EMU) has been structured over a period of nine years, with an impressive top speed of 140 km/h (87 mph). Ideal for operating frequent services, the BR423 provides high capacity for S-Bahn routes that connect both urban and rural areas of Germany. A total of 462 four-car units were constructed by manufacturers like Adtranz/Bombardier, ALSTOM, and ABB.

In this add-on, you can experience the BR423 in its characteristic Deutsche Bahn red livery. Features also include an internal passenger view, an operational SIFA driver vigilance system, and in-cab signalling through the LZB system. Moreover, the PZB90 warning system ensures you are well-equipped for real-life train operations.

The BR423 is also Quick Drive compatible, allowing you to navigate this unit on any enabled route in Train Simulator, including those available via Steam. Additionally, three scenarios tailored for the Munich-Augsburg route are included: Driver Training, S3 to Mammendorf, and Unwelcome Interruption.
