Train Simulator: Strathclyde Class 101 DMU Add-On
Experience the iconic Class 101 Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) with the Strathclyde Passenger Transport (SPT) livery in this exciting add-on for Train Simulator. Originally built by Metro-Cammell Works in Birmingham from 1956, the Class 101 became one of the most successful first generation DMUs on the British railway network, featuring an impressive array of sub-classes. With over 500 units constructed, this DMU has left a significant legacy, operating on routes across the UK until its final withdrawal in 2003.
This upgraded model offers players a highly detailed driving experience, featuring manually controlled gear shifts, a fully interactive cab, and instrument backlighting. The striking black and orange SPT livery adds a unique aesthetic, making it the first of its kind in any Train Simulator model. Players can enjoy various configurations, including two, three, and four-car sets, replicating the authentic passenger experience with first and standard class seating.
Included are three engaging scenarios for the West Coast Main Line: "Gearing Up," "Slip and Slide," and "Strathclyde Showers," with additional scenarios available through the Steam Workshop for endless gameplay opportunities. Dive into the world of the Class 101 and relive a piece of British railway history.
