The BR Class 14 add-on for Trainz Simulator 2012 brings you the meticulously crafted locomotives designed to replace the ex-GWR Pannier Tanks that once dominated shunting and short haul services on Western Region tracks. Built with an axle load specifically for light line operations, the Class 14 locomotives are powered by a robust Paxman 6-cylinder Ventura engine, delivering 650 hp through a Voith hydraulic transmission.
Despite their promising design, the traffic needs they served quickly diminished, resulting in many units being stored after just two years of service. However, the Class 14s found a new lease on life, primarily on private railways operated by the National Coal Board and British Steel Corporation, where they remained active until the 1980s.
This DLC features:
