Qubes is an engaging online 1v1 game that emphasizes fast thinking, speed, and focus. Players can challenge friends or random opponents in matches characterized by dynamically generated rules, adding an element of unpredictability to each game. The objective is to color the majority of the map with your color by maneuvering a cube through the arena. Each round ends when the timer expires or the map is fully colored, and the player who controls the most area wins.

Matches consist of up to three rounds, with the first player to achieve three round victories declared the overall winner. Players can enjoy two distinct game modes: the standard mode with dynamic rules or a custom mode where players can establish fixed rules for the match. Various rules include static versus dynamic map types, the effect of green tiles that arise after a set number of rolls, round length, and both normal and green roll limits.

Additionally, powerups spawn throughout the arena, providing strategic advantages. These powerups can color entire rows or columns, alter player speeds, or freeze opponents, making each match a thrilling test of strategy and agility.
