Train Simulator: Norfolk Southern N-Line Route Add-On description
Norfolk Southern N-Line Route Add-On
Experience the charm and challenge of American railroading with the Norfolk Southern N-Line Route Add-On for Train Simulator. This captivating route, extending 29 miles from Salisbury to Halls Ferry, North Carolina, first built as the Yadkin Railroad in 1891, showcases the scenic beauty and operational intricacies of a classic southern branch line.
The N-Line is renowned for its “saw tooth” profile and sharp curves, offering a thrilling ride through Carolina’s forested landscape. As an engineer, you'll tackle various operations over this roller-coaster route, managing both throttle and brakes as you navigate uncertain trackage.
With more than a dozen diverse lineside industries, including an aggregates quarry and forest product hubs, the route provides ample opportunities for local duties and switching operations. The included Old Spencer Yard in Salisbury acts as a central hub for N-Line activities.
Players will have access to three authentic Norfolk Southern locomotives: the EMD “hi-nose” and “low-nose” GP38-2s, along with the GP40-2, complemented by various contemporary freight rolling stock. Experience seven challenging career scenarios and two railfan scenarios, with additional scenarios available through the Steam Workshop.
