3 Days in the Abyss
3 Days in the Abyss places you in the Spirit of the Crucified Savior, bound for a descent into Hell to confront demons, recover the Captives, and confront the Evil One. Since the banishment from the Garden of Eden, the Savior has fought to reclaim what was lost and to return the rescued to Paradise. You step into a scorched underworld, a harsh landscape threaded with lurking enemies, peril zones, and relentless projectiles. Every corridor and crossroads tests your resolve as you press deeper toward a hidden truth. The journey blends mythic purpose with brutal action, inviting you to cast off fear and move forward into the abyss.
Gameplay unfolds along a path through Time Base Levels that feel expansive within a tight schedule. Your primary tools are projectile attacks, and health pickups sustain you through brutal clashes. The enemy AI actively hunts your location, forcing you to stay alert, plan ambushes, and measure when to advance or retreat. Captives remain imprisoned inside Cells, sealed by Spires that guard their doors. Destroy the Spires to unlock the Cells and free the Captives, who carry the promise of renewal. As you progress, you unravel the Evil One’s role in the fall and the broader conspiracy that bind this world to darkness. Each area challenges you to balance aggression with caution, choosing when to push forward or to secure a healing pickup.
Storytelling comes to life through cut-scenes that unfold as you progress, weaving a narrative arc around the descent, the rescue, and the moral costs of power. The visuals lean toward Pixel Art Graphics (wip) with an optional full-screen experience to maximize immersion. A dramatic musical score and action-driven sound effects underscore every encounter, from stealthy approaches to devastating clashes. The design emphasizes atmosphere as much as reflex, inviting players to contemplate the stakes while staying on guard for sudden, deadly moments.
Note: This is a Beta 1 release, and development is ongoing. Core features center on combat and rescue: shoot projectiles, collect health, explore a sprawling, Time Base Levels world, and experience a story-driven campaign. The Abyss rewards courage, memory, and resolve as you race toward the final confrontation with the Evil One and the hope of returning Captives to Paradise. The Beta includes early levels that showcase scale and pacing, with plans for more features, polish, and deeper acts after release.
