The centerpiece is the introduction of Flashpoints, which are high-stakes, branching short stories connecting mercenary missions, crew interactions, and critical choices. Players will navigate the complex political landscape of the Great Houses in the Inner Sphere, facing tricky decisions that affect their mercenary crew.

Flashpoints introduce a variety of new gameplay mechanics, such as challenging consecutive deployments where players cannot repair between missions. Additionally, some missions come with restrictions on the tonnage of deployable BattleMechs, enhancing the strategic depth.

This expansion adds three new BattleMechs, including the much-anticipated Hatchetman, along with a new mission type called Target Acquisition, which tests players' tactical skills. Players can further explore lush tropical biomes, offering new environmental challenges and advantages.
