Photonic Distress, or PD, is an innovative blend of First/Third Person puzzler/platformer that immerses you in the intricate landscape of your consciousness. Your primary objective is to collect 100 memory fragments scattered across procedurally generated levels, resembling dreams that become increasingly complex and expansive. However, each level presents a unique challenge: the illumination varies by difficulty. While easy and medium modes offer visible environments, the hard and impossible settings plunge you into darkness!

Armed with a Photon gun, you can light your path and combat lurking enemies. Initially firing colorful balls, your photon arsenal can be upgraded as you collect fragments, unlocking powerful tools such as a flashlight attachment and a scan grenade for revealing hidden areas and foes. The game's pseudo-random level generation ensures every gameplay experience is distinct, with different seed choices affecting the layout and fragment distribution.

With four difficulty levels—Easy, Medium, Hard, and Impossible—PD caters to both casual and hardcore gamers.
