Some Distant Memory description

Some Distant Memory is a captivating story-driven exploration game where players assume the role of the Professor, embarking on a quest to locate the long-lost sunken city of Houston. Set in a bleak future where Earth's remaining colonies face dire resource shortages and a menacing algae bloom, survival hangs by a thread. For years, you have meticulously scoured the desolate expanses with little success. Your journey is supported by two key companions: ARORA, an advanced AI that has served as humanity's guiding light since the Collapse, and the Commander, an adept explorer tasked with your protection.

Everything shifts dramatically when you accidentally plunge into the ruins of an ancient house. Here, ARORA's cutting-edge Memory Reconstruction system comes into play, allowing you to explore the vivid memories of those who once inhabited the space. As you traverse through this haunting setting, you will uncover crucial clues about the fate of civilization, interact with enigmatic artifacts, and delve into the mysteries surrounding the family entombed within the ruins. Your mission not only involves exploration but also a race against time to find a path back to safety.
