Scramble: Battle of Britain

Scramble: Battle of Britain is a tactical, turn-based dogfighting experience set in the high-octane skies over the English Channel during 1940. It blends a dynamic 3D airspace with physics-based flight simulation to deliver authentic piloting drama without demanding constant reflexes. Command both Luftwaffe and RAF fighters through intense aerial clashes, balancing tactics, maneuvering, and resource management as you shape the outcome of each engagement.

Turn-based dogfighting in digestible, high-stakes moments

Scramble breaks dogfights into short, focused phases: Planning, Simulation, and Review. In Planning you gain situational awareness from a diorama-style sky view and apply a toolkit to position your squadrons. The Simulation phase resolves your decisions in a fast, cinematic exchange of loops, rolls, and dives, while the Review phase lets you scrub through action frame-by-frame to study damage, assess pilot status, and replay victories from your preferred angles.

Early Access features

Squadron Leader lets you command a Royal Air Force squadron of twelve pilots over thirty days of channel interceptions. Each pilot has a unique identity and traits, with fatigue, injuries, and fatalities affecting your overall attrition. This mode lays the foundation for the full Channel Defense Campaign, testing leadership and resource balance under pressure.

Dogfight Generator drops you straight into action, generating missions for up to twelve aircraft and allowing you to choose sides—RAF or Luftwaffe. Saveable replays and cinematic tools capture battles from every angle, enabling rapid sharing of your most daring victories.

Simulation, physics, and subsystems

Aircraft are simulated to the subcomponent level, delivering authentic flight envelopes and maneuvering requirements. Bullets can tear fuel tanks, radiators, and engines, causing leaks and fires. Structural stress can shear off ailerons or elevators, dramatically changing aerodynamics. Pilots fatigue, black out, and become vulnerable alongside mechanical components, turning battles from pure destruction into survivable challenges.

Aircraft in service

: Royal Air Force fighters — Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane; Luftwaffe fighters — Messerschmitt Bf 109, Messerschmitt Bf 110; Luftwaffe bombers — Junkers 87 “Stuka,” Dornier 17.

: Bristol Blenheim, Junkers 88, Heinkel 111.

Experience and pace

Navigate the chaos with precise camera tools, real-time-simulated outcomes, and the ability to rewind and study battle damage. Scramble emphasizes strategic command and skilled piloting within a realistic yet accessible framework, delivering the tension of aerial combat without sacrificing depth.
