This meticulously crafted route captures the essence of the Clinchfield Railroad as it existed in the early 1980s, traversing the majestic Appalachian Mountains spanning eastern Kentucky and western Virginia.

The route extends approximately 41 miles from Elkhorn City, Kentucky, to St. Paul, Virginia, connecting vital freight lines like the Chesapeake & Ohio and Seaboard Coast Line. As an engineer, you will navigate classic first- and second-generation Clinchfield Electro-Motive diesel locomotives, including the EMD GP7, F7, SD40, and GP38, while hauling heavy coal and manifest freight loads through steep grades of up to 1.5 percent.

This add-on features significant locations such as the Elkhorn City yard, Dante yard, and the iconic Sandy Ridge tunnel. Players can engage in 7 Career and 2 Railfan Mode scenarios, with additional scenarios available through Steam Workshop. Engage in authentic railroading with a variety of rolling stock, including 70- and 100-ton coal hoppers, all in genuine CRR liveries.
