Libertad o Muerte!

Libertad o Muerte! immerses players in the epic wars of independence that transformed Spanish colonies in America from 1810 to 1825. This turn-based strategy game features a vast map encompassing South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and significant locations including Cádiz, Texas, and parts of the USA.

Players can assume the roles of either the Patriots or the Royalists, aiming to achieve military objectives by managing resources, armies, and fleets. Each turn, representing six months of real time, requires players to strategically react to events and utilize event cards that introduce historical elements and various tactical advantages—ranging from economic boosts to troop deployments.

The game includes multiple scenarios, such as the rebellions in Mexico and La Plata, as well as the comprehensive Grand Campaign spanning the entire conflict. Gameplay accommodates two players either in hot seat or PBEM mode, with solo options against AI. Game duration can vary from four hours to extensive sessions, particularly in the Grand Campaign.
