Soul Reaper is a strategic, turn‑based RPG where careful planning decides the fate of a fractured soul. After surviving a psyche‑splitting attack from The Midnight Council, you take control of the Soul Reaper on a quest to rebuild his army and become whole again. Gather and command souls to forge a path through a hostile world, uncover hidden powers, and face powerful foes in a battle for redemption.

Soul resources and squad management

• Organize souls into 3×3 battle squads for combat.
• Fuse souls together to boost experience points and growth.
• Devour souls to advance the Soul Reaper’s own stats.
• Smithed into loot pieces that both the Soul Reaper and troops can wear.
• Slot souls into equipment to add or enhance attributes.

Overworld exploration and progression

Travel across a sprawling Vault to hunt for treasure, unlock new abilities, and push toward the final confrontation. Defeating bosses on the overworld unlocks powerful new skills, while returning to explored areas reveals new paths and hidden obstacles to overcome.

Turn-based combat and strategy

Engage in classic, tactics‑driven battles where type advantages, unit placement, and squad coordination shape the outcome. Accelerate battles up to x3 for a rapid pace, or outmaneuver enemies on the overworld to avoid combat when you choose.

Fragments, NPCs, and branching story

Different Reaper Fragments alter behavior and interactions with NPCs, shaping the story as you collect more fragments. The path you take and the outcomes you achieve depend on how many Fragments you wield.

Bosses and rewards

Face fearsome bosses with unique powers. Defeating them grants special abilities that turn the tide of future battles. Awe‑inspiring foes like Balboa and Elephount illustrate the variety of challenges you will conquer.

The Vault and its chambers

The Vault comprises three distinct layers—Volcanheim, Elysium, and Polarus—each with its own climate and treasure. Open chests scattered across zones to strengthen your squad, discover new gear, and broaden your strategic options as you near the Vault’s climactic ending.

Atmosphere and soundtrack

Immerse yourself in a blood‑pumping score crafted to match each region and the escalating boss themes, reinforcing the tension and triumph of reclaiming the soul.
