The Stone of Madness

Developed by The Game Kitchen in collaboration with Tripwire Presents, The Stone of Madness is a gripping real-time tactical stealth game set in a haunting 18th-century Spanish monastery nestled in the Pyrenees. Players will navigate this atmospheric setting, which houses a madhouse and inquisitorial prison, as five prisoners—Agnes, Leonora, Eduardo, Amelia, and Alfredo—pool their unique skills to escape.

Each character is afflicted with distinct traumas and phobias that influence gameplay. As players switch between characters, they must manage their mental health carefully, as triggering their fears can lead to negative effects like paranoia or violence, fundamentally changing how they are played. Explore, solve puzzles, and gather clues during the day when guards are distracted, but remain vigilant at night as the monastery's paranormal inhabitants emerge.

The game features an isometric view that highlights its beautifully hand-painted visuals, inspired by 18th-century artist Francisco De Goya. With two full-fledged campaigns to choose from, The Stone of Madness combines intricate strategies, atmospheric horror, and engaging storytelling, challenging players to outsmart guards and confront the unknown in a race against time.
