GravitreX Arcade: A Physics-Based Challenge
GravitreX started its journey as a contestant in the Swedish Game Awards Warm-up competition themed around the 80s, where it emerged victorious. Since then, it has been ported to Android and transformed into a physical arcade cabinet, with a few remaining in barcades around Phoenix, Arizona. Now, it's returning to PC and Steam to complete the circle.
This 2D physics simulation game challenges players to land two ships on their respective platforms, reminiscent of the classic Lunar Lander, but with heightened difficulty and complex physics mechanics. Players can control two ships in single-player mode, with each ship equipped with a grabber for lifting boxes or other ships and an AutoHover system to assist with landings.
GravitreX features 35 levels of increasing difficulty, with classic synthetic voice alerts for damaged systems. Players earn extra ships for every 30,000 points scored. Achievements, classic arcade high scores, and a "Prime Five" leaderboard for the fastest completions enhance the competitive experience. The game supports multiple control schemes, making it perfect for arcade cabinets.
