Train Simulator: Bahnstrecke Riesa - Dresden Route Add-On

Experience the rich history and vibrant operations of the Bahnstrecke Riesa - Dresden in Train Simulator! This captivating route, dating back to the 1830s, originally aimed to connect the cities of eastern Germany, marking the birth of Germany's first long-distance railway. The track was quickly doubled in 1840 to accommodate increasing traffic and importance.

Post-World War II challenges led to a decline in capacity until upgrades in the 1960s, when the route was electrified. Recent enhancements have significantly improved inter-city journey times, allowing for a mix of fast and slow lines that traverse the picturesque Saxony countryside.

The route features a 55 km (34-mile) stretch from Dresden Hbf to Riesa Hbf, along with 23 km (14 miles) of fast lines. Players will encounter 18 meticulously crafted stations and various lineside industries, including docks and industrial parks, as they engage in diverse operations ranging from inter-city and regional passenger services to freight transport.

With authentic signalling systems and a fleet of iconic DB locomotives, including the DB BR 146.0 and DB BR 101, your adventures are just beginning. Enjoy a selection of 7 Career scenarios such as "Full Speed to Riesa" and "Freight to Riesa," with additional scenarios available through the Steam Workshop for endless gameplay opportunities.
