One Deck Dungeon

One Deck Dungeon is a compact dungeon-crawling roguelike for one or two players. It distills a full roguelike experience into a single deck of cards and a handful of dice, letting you dive into doors, danger, and baddies without hours of prep.

Play quick, play smart

Choose 1 or 2 of six heroes: Mage, Warrior, Rogue, Archer, Paladin, and Mist—the breach mage from Aeon's End. Each hero brings a distinct playstyle and progression path. After every run, you unlock up to 15 new talents to power future games.

How it plays

Encounters are resolved with a compact encounter deck and a handful of dice. Roll to meet symbol requirements on cards, defeat threats, and push deeper through the dungeon. Success improves your hero and grants rewards; failure carries consequences—but the deck always invites another run.

Solo or co-op

The game supports one or two players and is fully playable with gamepads. It seamlessly switches between gamepad and mouse input. Official support covers Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch Pro controllers, with most gamepads working smoothly.

The five trials

  • Dragon’s Cave
  • Yeti’s Cavern
  • Hydra’s Reef
  • Lich’s Tomb
  • Minotaur’s Maze

Each dungeon presents distinct hazards, monsters, and treasure, testing different hero builds and strategies.

Keep expanding

Forest of Shadows doubles the content: five new heroes (Alchemist, Druid, Hunter, Slayer, Warden), five new dungeons (Lair of Indrax, The Mudlands, Realm of Venom, Smoldering Ruins, The Vile Roots), a 44-card encounter deck, and expanded progression, basic skills, potions, and more.

Abyssal Depths adds fiends who haunt your quest, with six Fiends across two difficulty levels and two new aquatic heroes.

Additional individual expansion cards are available as downloadable content: Caliana, Fanatic, Witch, Cinder Plains, and Phoenix’s Den.

Length and flavor

A typical session runs about 15 minutes once you know the dungeon, longer for new players and shorter if you already know the ropes. The compact setup, engaging dice-and-card mechanics, and growing power through talents keep the action tight and replayable.
