99 Spirits is an engaging RPG/Puzzle game inspired by the fascinating Japanese folklore of Tsukumogami, where everyday objects come to life after their 100th birthday. Players follow the journey of Hanabusa, a determined young girl living in the Heian capital of medieval Japan. Her peaceful life is shattered when evil spirits slay her mother, sparking her quest for vengeance against these malevolent beings.

During her adventures, Hanabusa encounters a mystical white fox, a servant of the mountain god, who guides her in her fight. Armed with a special sword inherited from her mother, she gains the ability to reveal the true forms of spirits, aiding her in battle. However, when a spirit claiming to be her long-lost father, Hidetada, breaks her sword, Hanabusa is left disheartened and determined to uncover the truth about her lineage.

Key features include a unique battle system that involves capturing enemies and utilizing their abilities to solve puzzles, interactions with over 40 characters, and more than 100 monsters to confront. With beautifully crafted art and an original atmospheric soundtrack, players can explore multiple endings influenced by their choices. 99 Spirits also offers dual audio, allowing players to toggle between English and Japanese voiceovers, along with the original version titled 'Tsukumogami.'
