In Discouraged Workers, you step into the life of Ga-yeon, a hospital coordinator whose life takes a dramatic turn after an affair with a married doctor leads to her dismissal. Struggling to find a new job and battling mental unease, she retreats into a reclusive lifestyle for over a year. The story picks up in the spring of 2013, as Ga-yeon's younger sister, Hye-na, and her first love, Yunwoo, come to visit her.
