In Hades' Star, players embark on an epic journey to create and develop a thriving space empire within a dynamic and ever-evolving galaxy. The game features various star types, each providing unique opportunities and challenges.

• Yellow Stars: As the most stable star type, Yellow Stars serve as the ideal foundation for players to establish their empires. New players start in their own Yellow Star systems, where they can expand their control, colonize planets, set up mining operations, and develop trade routes while managing interactions with mysterious alien ships.
• Red Stars: Players can build a Red Star Scanner to access these transient stars, which survive for only 15 minutes before exploding. Cooperation is vital here as players team up to conquer NPC ships, collect valuable Artifacts, and return safely before the supernova.
• White Stars: Form Corporations to engage in fierce battles with rival players for Relics, crucial for upgrading the Corporation. Matches span five days, allowing strategic planning and coordination among members.
• Blue Stars: Offering fast-paced PvP action, these stars exist for just five minutes. Players send battleships to compete against each other and the last player standing claims victory.
