Overhead
Overhead is a tense first‑person game of exploration, puzzles, and terror. You awaken in a bunker buried miles beneath the earth, a place evacuated long ago and sealed off from the world above. You were kept frozen and forgotten... until now. Your aim is to push through the darkness, survive dangerous experiments and the mutations that haunt the corridors, and seek a surface exit if it still exists. The atmosphere is claustrophobic, the air is thin, and every sound carries with it a memory of the world that vanished above.
Setting and premise unfolds in the shadow of Hexagon, a megacorporation that dominates the pharmaceutical industry. Cryogenic experiments on animals accelerated beyond control, and the facility shifted its purpose in ways that left a trail of questions. You volunteered for a testing program that was supposed to remain confidential, yet something went catastrophically wrong. An emergency system thawed you after 162 years, restoring you to an unknown subterranean zone that had been evacuated for reasons that remain unclear.
Disoriented but driven, you move through contaminated areas, ruined laboratories, and secretive chambers where the line between science and nightmare blurs. Mutant experiments lurk in the dark, their presence hinted by corrosive scents, broken equipment, and eerie luminescence. Each step tests your nerves and your wits as you hunt for the nearest exit, all while the remnants of the old world whisper about what happened here and what may still be alive above ground.
The core experience blends survival, puzzle solving, and atmosphere‑driven horror. Puzzles demand careful observation, logic, and patience as you decipher cryptic clues, manipulate fragile mechanisms, and navigate hazards that threaten your progress and your sanity. Resources are limited, so every decision matters as you piece together fragments of the facility’s history and the true scope of the catastrophe that forced this underground exodus. The surface exit—if it exists—depends on uncovering the hidden motivations behind Hexagon’s experiments and the unseen forces that controlled the chronology of the disaster.
As the story unfolds, you uncover a secret that ties the corporation’s ambitions to the events that shaped this desolate underground world. The truth behind the experiments, the purpose of the cryogenic program, and the fate of those who vanished long before your awakening begin to converge. The more you learn, the more the danger intensifies, and the hope of escape becomes inseparable from the moral weight of what you endure and what you reveal.
Overhead invites you to explore, think fast, and endure the unknown. Its dark, claustrophobic spaces, unsettling sounds, and a narrative that reveals itself piece by piece create a feeling of constant discovery and creeping dread. Will you find a way to the surface, or will you become another forgotten fragment of a fallen experiment?
