Ink. is a semi-procedural RPG action shooter where your fate is written in the margins of a living book.

You play as a small ink creature, dwelling inside a bound world of pages. Your journey takes you through 10 chapters, and you “write” your story by facing hostile foes and towering bosses, while discovering new items and unlocking powerful synergies and combos that change how you fight and survive.

The world is dynamically generated: layouts, encounters, and loot adapt each run, inviting you to continually adjust your tactics. Items you collect can interact in creative ways, producing unique effects that reward experimentation and daring play. The sense of growth comes from combining gear and abilities to build a distinct style for every playthrough.

Beyond the main narrative, Ink. features a broad set of challenges. These battles are often boss-focused or present waves of enemies that must be overcome to earn special rewards. Completing challenges deepens your build, unlocks new options, and adds replayable goals that extend the core experience.

The game is designed for both solo adventurers and friends who want to join in. Story mode and challenges can be played in singleplayer or local cooperative mode. Local Co-op can be activated at any moment during the game by plugging in a controller, supporting up to four players. The first player can still play with mouse and keyboard or switch to a gamepad, with options available in the game settings.
