Gloom: Digital Edition

In the macabre world of Gloom, happiness is a fleeting notion, and misery reigns supreme! Each player commands a quirky family of eccentric misfits, with a singular goal: to inflict the most tragic experiences upon their characters before they embrace the sweet release of death. The more you increase your family's suffering, the closer to victory you come, as your aim is to achieve the lowest Family Value.

As you navigate through the game, you’ll employ cunning strategy to orchestrate calamities. Inflict distress by asking penguins to poison your characters, letting them face stormy starvation, or even getting written out of a will. Your rivals, on the other hand, must endure the agony of joy—delightful distractions like picnic outings and love interests are their downfall!

With room for up to four players, each turn allows for two moves to play modifier cards that lower your own character's Self-Worth, while simultaneously boosting your opponents’ happiness. Utilize event cards to shift destinies and ultimately unleash an Untimely Death on your family or your rivals’ families. Who will succumb to a bear attack, and who will quietly fade away?
