Tank Warfare: El Guettar

Set in March 1943, Tank Warfare: El Guettar immerses players in the historic Battle of El Guettar, where the 1st Ranger Battalion successfully captured the oasis with minimal resistance from Italian forces. Following their retreat to the surrounding hills, the stage is set for a fierce confrontation. On March 20, the Rangers, supported by the 1st Infantry Division, initiated an attack that resulted in the capture of over 500 enemy prisoners and significant military supplies.

Players will navigate a meticulously recreated battle area of over 200 sq. km, featuring challenging terrain such as ridges, mountains, marshes, and gullies. The gameplay is anchored in historical authenticity, offering a detailed organizational structure of units from the time, including the positioning of 16th and 18th Infantry Regiments along with the formidable German 10th Armored Division, equipped with over 100 tanks and armored personnel carriers.

Experience intense strategic combat through two dynamic operations, each spanning seven turns, as players engage in tactical maneuvers to capture El Guettar and disrupt enemy plans along Highway 15 towards Gabes.
