Tank Warfare: El Guettar

Set during the critical days of March 1943, Tank Warfare: El Guettar transports players to the crucial battle for control over the El Guettar oasis. Initially captured by the 1st Ranger Battalion with little resistance, the oasis soon became a focal point of intense military conflict. After the Italian forces retreated to nearby hills, a coordinated attack on March 20 by the Rangers alongside the 1st Infantry Division led to the capture of over 500 enemy soldiers and a treasure trove of military supplies.

This game features two strategic operations, taking players through 7 turns each for both American and German forces as they vie for dominance in this historically significant battle. Players will navigate a meticulously recreated environment that spans over 200 square kilometers, showcasing the rugged terrain, natural obstacles, and tactical advantages characteristic of the region. With the German command deploying a formidable force composed of over 100 tanks, including armored personnel carriers, players must utilize historical unit structures and terrain to formulate their winning strategies.
