In Castles, players embark on an epic journey alongside the ambitious King Harold, aiming to construct an impressive tower that symbolizes his reign. As the tower ascends, a variety of challenges emerge, including unpredictable weather conditions and the treacherous schemes of King Edmund, Harold's jealous rival.

The game features three engaging modes: story, versus, and survival, allowing for both single-player and multiplayer experiences. In story mode, players can explore over 50 levels of randomized gameplay, ensuring no two plays are alike. Instead of controlling the blocks directly, you take on the role of an engineer who must match three or more blocks of tools or colors to complete level objectives.

The gameplay involves navigating a 7x7 grid with a central 5x5 area where blocks cascade from above. As you strategize to build the tower, you must contend with various environmental challenges such as snow, wind, and storms, all while fending off the relentless attacks from King Edmund’s minions, who are equipped with destructive machinery.
