Humans are prone to manipulation, and civil discord can be your ally as you fracture a unified empire from within, letting orcish hordes finish the job.

Complex AIs power the forces of good, and you can influence their fate. Rulers can be driven to gold-obsessed lunacy, sparking uprisings; dukes can be nudged toward treachery by a single item that hints at a court scandal; heroes can be driven mad by cursed tomes; and magic-coded shadows can coax enemies to fund your agents instead of their own causes.
