In a fictional world torn apart by constant warfare, anthropomorphic rats, mice, cockroaches, and lizards clash for the fate of their nations. Advances in steam and diesel engines have given birth to merciless weapons of destruction, plunging the planet into an era of brutal technology and ruthless combat. Ratten Reich is a small RTS set in a steampunk/dieselpunk universe where strategic mind and precise control decide outcomes on the battlefield.

The war spans three distinct continents, each offering unique challenges: the Central Continent features swampy, trench-ridden terrain that tests movement and flanking; the Eastern Continent is heavily fortified with military bases, creating formidable barriers to assault; the Desert Continent brings sandstorms and shifting dunes that obscure visibility and complicate line of sight. Across all theaters, most buildings are destructible, inviting dynamic assaults and forcing players to rethink cover and approach routes.

Each faction brings its own exclusive infantry models and elaborate designs, highlighting the distinct identities of the RR (rats), FMR (mice), ERS (lizards), and RD (monitor lizards). Unit cards provide essential information for commanding units effectively on the battlefield, helping you plan formations, movements, and special orders in real time.

The game emphasizes a gritty sense of warfare, including elements of dismemberment and blood, underscoring the stakes of every encounter. Ratten Reich delivers a focused, tactical experience within a unique and memorable world, where technology and brutality collide.

Ratten Reich is an early-access title developed by a small indie team, with ongoing improvements guided by a public roadmap.
