Tin Hearts
Tin Hearts presents a series of lemmings‑like puzzles set within a grand Victorian home, inviting you to relive the emotional journey of Albert J. Butterworth, a brilliant inventor. Guide a troop of tin soldiers through inventive challenges, uncovering a moving tale of family, love, and compromise as the past speaks through memories, photographs, and letters.
Spanning four acts, the game unfolds across richly themed locations—from a meticulously designed garden where soldiers can bounce, glide, and soar, to the inventor’s basement filled with the heights of innovation. Each space hides memories worth discovering and new routes to your destination, with multiple solutions opening as you progress.
Play as Mr Soldier, a fully controllable tin figure who can break rank and scout the best path while adding an extra layer of discovery. As you advance, unlock a gallery of ground‑breaking inventions that shape how you guide your troops: toy cannons, trampoline drums, balloon inflating machines, and the electrifying power glove. Time is on your side too—pause, fast‑forward, and rewind to observe outcomes and adjust your approach.
Tin Hearts blends thoughtful puzzle design with a deeply human story. The narrative unfolds through memories and handwritten letters, revealing the balance between dedication to loved ones and the demands of innovation, as well as the sometimes exploitative push of the Guild of Toy Makers.
With over 50 puzzles that evolve as you play, Tin Hearts offers a relaxing yet rewarding puzzle‑solving experience. Hints are readily available to support your journey, ensuring accessibility without sacrificing challenge. The soundtrack, composed by Matthew Chastney, enhances the atmosphere with a contemplative and immersive mood.
Developed by a team including former Lionhead Studios veterans, Tin Hearts is also available in a VR version designed from the ground up for immersive headset play. In VR, you can directly touch and interact with the world, feel the mechanics, and move closer to inspect the charming toys and environments.
Tin Hearts offers a heartfelt, multi‑layered experience where imagination, memory, and invention collide. A thoughtful puzzle adventure that invites you to explore not just how to reach a goal, but why the journey matters.
