The story centers around Shun Nanami, whose life was irrevocably changed when his sister, Shirone, tragically drowned at sea on a hot midsummer day. This haunting memory drives Shun to live a life in her stead, seeking redemption for the life she could not experience. As the years pass, a new summer arrives, rekindling his memories when he hears a distant piano melody—the one Shirone cherished. Following the sound, he encounters an extraordinary being that resembles her perfectly, named TRINO, an android created in her image.
