The Tree

The Tree is a peaceful strategy game about healing a forest scarred by fire or deforestation. Plant trees to grow a new woodland on floating islands high in the sky. With minimalist visuals and a calm atmosphere, the game invites quiet focus as you rebuild nature.

Gameplay

At the start you receive a line of five randomly drawn cards. You select one to place on the floating island, either as a tree or as an auxiliary forest object. After you place a card, a new card joins the line, keeping the line filled. A planted tree clears burnt or cut forest objects in the area around it, gradually restoring the island. The reach of a tree can be expanded by adding auxiliary objects to that tree, increasing the clearing radius.

The primary goal is to remove all burnt or cut forest objects from the floating island. Each planting action costs nature energy, and energy can be replenished by adding three auxiliary forest objects to a single tree. Smart planning—matching trees with suitable auxiliary objects and managing energy—lets you restore the island efficiently and create larger, healthier patches of forest.
