Raid on Taihoku description

Raid on Taihoku

"All wars are fought twice, the first time on the battlefield, the second time in memory." - Viet Thanh Nguyen.

Set in Taihoku during Japanese colonial rule, Raid on Taihoku is a gripping 2.5D narrative adventure game. Players encounter the harrowing realities of World War II as they navigate the city during the chaotic raid by American B-24 Liberators on May 31, 1945. Through the eyes of the protagonist, Sayako, who suffers from amnesia after the attack, players are thrust into a journey filled with struggle, survival, and the quest for memory amidst destruction.

In the game, players can explore safe zones freely, collecting hidden items and unraveling mysteries of the past while in danger zones, they must rely on teamwork and quick thinking to evade air raids and other threats. Accompanied by her loyal dog, Blacky, Sayako must confront the harsh realities of war and piece together her lost memories.

Featuring dual roles that provide insight into various survivors' stories, the game is rich in historical detail, complemented by an immersive soundtrack by Wei-fan Chang. Experience an authentic depiction of Taipei during a tumultuous period in history, supported in Mandarin, English, and Japanese.
