Tetra Tactics is an engaging roguelike deckbuilder that draws inspiration from the beloved Final Fantasy VIII minigame, Triple Triad. Players traverse through three maps filled with increasingly difficult foes, enhancing their decks which consist of eight unique cards.
The game features a rich layer of strategic depth where the rules are simple to grasp yet challenging to master. Utilizing symbols such as Sword, Magic, Shield, and Bow, each card has its own strengths and weaknesses, requiring players to adapt their strategies based on their opponents' choices.
With every run, players collect shards that enable them to unlock permanent perks and a diverse range of heroes. Cards themselves gain experience, allowing for permanent augmentations once certain milestones are reached. Players can explore over 100 unique cards, combine them for powerful effects, and employ various upgrades and potions to shift the tide of battle. Unique hero powers and unlockable heroes lend further variety to gameplay, ensuring no two runs are ever the same.
