In the Talisman - The Harbinger Expansion, players confront an impending apocalypse marked by dark omens. The game introduces three new characters, a mysterious Harbinger NPC, and a wealth of new challenges to overcome. Players must navigate through 75 Harbinger Cards, 32 Omen Cards, and various Terrain and Spell Cards, strategically working together to avert the foretold destruction.
Upon the drawing of an Event Card, the Harbinger will emerge as a daunting figure. Players must heed its warnings and seek to eliminate in-play Omen Cards before they lead to doom. This expansion features a Strength/Craft mechanic, allowing players to choose between Battle and Psychic Combat when confronting enemies. With four sets of Omen Cards available—Armageddon, Rise of the Dead, Stars Align, and Shattered World—the stakes are raised as the game progresses.
To succeed, players must harness the abilities of new characters: the Ascendant Divine, Celestial, and Possessed. Each character comes with unique powers and challenges that impact gameplay.
