Field of Glory II: Medieval - Rise of the Swiss is a detailed and immersive turn-based strategy game that allows players to explore the rise of Swiss military power in the late Middle Ages. From the late 1300s, Swiss soldiers began incorporating the long pike into their arsenal, gradually shifting away from halberds after the battles of Arbedo and other key engagements. This strategic evolution led to a significant increase in the effectiveness of Swiss armies, which were instrumental in the Burgundian Wars and the Swabian War against the Holy Roman Empire.
Players can command historically accurate armies featuring new units and 60 additional army lists, bringing the total to 303.
