MOMENTUM is a minimalist arcade high-score chaser that fits into 2 KB. You pilot a fast ship through a dangerous field, dodging drifting asteroids and using your limited nukes to blast through tricky sections. Quick reflexes, precise timing, and smart resource management keep your run alive as the menace closes in.

• Hexadecimal scoring — scores are written in hexadecimal, using digits 0-9 and A-F. The base-16 system shapes a unique progression rhythm.

In MOMENTUM, numbers are not decimal. The digits advance from 0 through 9, then continue with A through F. When you add 1 to F, the next higher place increases and F rolls over to 0 with a carry. As a reference, 10 hex equals 16 decimal, 100 hex equals 256 decimal, and 1000 hex equals 4096 decimal. This compact numeral system creates a distinctive pacing as your NUKES grow and your SCORE climbs in hex.

The core loop is simple: survive the shifting asteroid field, use nukes judiciously to clear a path, and chase a higher NUKES-SCORE combination. The game rewards timing and risk: hold fire until a corridor closes, then surge through with a well-timed blast.
