Bionic Bay
Bionic Bay fuses a radical swap mechanic with a realistic physics system to offer a fresh way to interact with a vibrant biomechanical world. Swap positions with objects and foes, shift gravity, and move, defend, or attack in dynamic, physics-driven encounters. Every action carries risk: you must avoid burning, breaking, freezing, exploding, or vaporizing yourself or your surroundings as you choreograph your next move.
An Ancient Biomechanical World
Step into an ancient, biomechanical world filled with imaginative devices, mysterious technology, and peculiar inhabitants. Navigate vast sci‑fi landscapes rendered in gritty high‑density pixel art, paired with suspenseful sound design that makes each biome feel distinct and alive. Each environment invites you to experiment with swaps, find clever routes, and uncover the secrets of a long-lost era where technology and biology intertwine.
Platforming Built for Speedrunning
Fluid movement and reactive physics drive adrenaline-fueled platforming across uniquely designed levels. Master the precise swaps and maneuvers necessary to bypass hazards, solve environmental puzzles, and race through stages as fast as possible. The game rewards skillful timing, strategic planning, and daring improvisation in equal measure, inviting players to push both reflexes and spatial thinking to the limit.
Online Mode: Competitive Play and Customization
Challenge the world in timed races against other players’ ghosts. Climb leaderboards, earn recognition, and show off your style with in‑game character customization by creating your own scientist avatar. Online events arrive regularly, offering fresh routes, new time trials, and evolving competition that keeps the scene dynamic and demanding.
Development
Bionic Bay is a collaboration between two independent studios. Mureena—Finnish solo developer Juhana Myllys handles art and design, bringing experience from Badland and Badland 2. Psychoflow Studio—a two‑person Taiwanese indie team handles the technical side, focusing on programming and engineering to realize the game’s physics‑driven ambitions.
