Reality Break is a fast-paced sci‑fi ARPG with interlocking systems and a configurable roguelite core. You play as a lone mercenary who is suddenly granted the power to alter reality, thrust into an evolving, chaotic story where unseen forces will stop at nothing to control you—and to predict your next move before you do it.

Rewrite mechanic — almost everything in the game is modifiable. Use reality-editing powers to upgrade and reshape your equipment, unlock mythical abilities, and redirect the course of the future. Change a loot item’s nature, fit a bulky object onto your ship by altering its existence, or twist a ticking mission clock to buy more time. You can even shift rarity, difficulty, and rewards to tailor the challenge to your desires. Every alteration has a cost, forcing you to balance present needs against future benefits.

Timeline and Reality Points — resetting time ripples through the world. Each timeline reset grants Reality Points, which you spend on metagame talents that reshape reality for current and future pilots. Talent unlocks are powerful and varied, including expert challenges for extra rewards, Fate Affixes on loot, item preservation across timelines, and even preventing the accidental dropping of low-quality loot. With each new timeline, new mechanics and possibilities emerge.

Analysis, Discoveries, and loot — use the real-time Analysis system to unlock Discoveries for your items and accelerate your loot’s power. If you want to accelerate progress, you can even rewrite the Analysis system itself. Loot evolves across timelines, and the right discoveries can redefine how you approach every mission.

Codex and Set Bonuses — collect specific item groups to unlock powerful Set Bonuses through the Codex. Upgrade the Codex to scale bonuses with loot rarity, and rewrite its rules to activate multiple Set Bonuses at once, amplifying your build in surprising ways.

Ship upgrades and equipment — visit the Tech Specialist to buy ship upgrades and slot in new types of equipment, including deadly Drones that grant unique bonuses. Your ship has limited slots, so choose wisely or push your limits enough to rewrite those constraints away.

Story and challenge — as you alter reality, the threats grow sharper. The more you wield power, the more noticeable you become to hidden forces that seek to control or erase your influence. With every timeline, you uncover clues about how you obtained this power, why you were chosen, and what it means for the fate of reality itself.
