Micro Wars condenses the classic real-time strategy formula into a small, fast-paced package that fits on a desk or in your pocket. Build a base, mine resources, and train units, then micro and position them with precision in short, intense skirmishes that demand timing and tactical awareness.

Choose from 13 unique commanders, each bringing a distinct twist and a signature ability to shape your approach. Elias the mechanic can research new units faster and cheaper and can call down a healing beam to replenish his forces. Voltaire the master tactician leverages terrain and can construct a temporary bunker anywhere on the battlefield. Estelle the flying ace delivers heavier payloads from the skies and can call in an airstrike that devastates a wide area. Craft a strategy tailored to your playstyle and aim for victory.

With a commander in hand, you customize your army by selecting 9 units from a pool of 30+. Will you maintain a balanced mix of early and late game forces across infantry, vehicles, and air units, or specialize to execute a precise plan? Units follow a rock-paper-scissors model—flamethrower units burn infantry but struggle against tanks—creating meaningful counterplay and thoughtful positioning on every map.

Online battles support up to eight players. Team up to climb the ranked ladders in matchmaking, or drop into a custom game lobby for more chaotic modes. A built-in map editor and the Steam Workshop open up endless creativity and different map mode types for endless replayability. If you’d rather study strategies, use observer mode and replays to learn from friends’ battles or your own mistakes.
