Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop
Set aboard an asteroid-bound service station on a quiet space lane, Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop follows Wilbur as he scrapes by as a mechanic. He fixes ships to cover the ever-rising R.E.N.T payments to Uncle Chop, the corporate overlord who runs the station and the grim cycle of work you’ll be pulled into.
The core loop centers on repairing and upgrading ship modules. You’ll wield a range of tools, diagnostic devices, parts, and workshop appliances to diagnose faults, repair or overhaul modules, and perform everything from quick refuels to total overhauls. Time is tight: grab, slice, loosen, tighten, drop, and juggle tasks within a daily time limit, all while handling a rotating roster of procedurally generated ships and modules. Your hands will get dirty fast as you tackle engines, power cores, life support, cargo bays, and more.
Learn on the job by consulting manual pages and diagrams that guide you through diagnostics and module repairs. If basic literacy isn’t your bag, there are clear visuals to study and a workshop that feels like a hands-on IKEA assembly project—designed to make sense even when the situation is chaotic.
Upgrade and customize your workshop with a growing array of workstations. Earned credits fund bigger devices and esoteric setups—from industrial behemoths to ritual-like altars—letting you fix larger ships and slice into more lucrative jobs. Some upgrades persist between runs, easing future days and gradually transforming your efficiency and reach.
Interact with a colorful roster of oddballs while enjoying anthology-style storytelling and a branching, multi-ending narrative. Align with different factions, each with their own quirky agendas, and uncover rich lore, hidden puzzles, and secret threads that color every day’s events.
Discovery and chaos go hand in hand: narrative events, random occurrences, upgrades, and secret lore ensure no two days feel the same. The game rewards you for learning the rhythms of the station, the quirks of ships, and the ever-shifting demands of Uncle Chop’s empire.
Progress compounds as you play: as you improve, station upgrades persist across runs, making life a bit easier with each loop. You’ll also become faster and sharper the more you repair, diagnose, and strategize. Do all that stuff again, but better—grinding against the rent, advancing the station, and proving your skill in a galaxy of hungry customers and stranger-than-life challenges.
