Set three thousand years after the Great War and the collapse of the hyperspace lanes, Stars in Shadow: Legacies immerses players in a galaxy that is beginning to awaken. An unknown force has restored the warp lanes, generating intrigue regarding its motives and origins.
This expansion introduces the cyborg faction known as the Tinkers, who revere the ancient mega machine Dzibix, a remnant of the Golden Age that has transformed their arid homeworld into a cybernetic civilization. The Tinkers, having converted themselves into cyborgs to appease their machine god, benefit from enhanced ship armor, self-repair capabilities, and unique systems tailored for missile and fighter operations. Players can build a variety of custom spaceships and make use of new planetary features like Planetary Debris Rings and Asteroid Bases.
