Starblast

Starblast is a fast-paced online multiplayer arcade space shooter where you pilot a customizable starship, mine asteroids for crystals, upgrade to improve your stats and weapons, and engage rival players to steal their gems. The scalable arena action blends quick reflex combat with deep ship progression across thousands of maps generated in real time. You can join matches solo, in teams, or in private and public events. Important note: purchasing Starblast on Steam no longer includes an ECP code to play on the web, so the Steam version is a standalone experience.

Ship tree and customization: the lineup spans 7 tiers and 31 unique ships, each offering distinct laser patterns and special abilities. You can equip 10 weapon classes and a range of secondary weapons and powers to tailor your loadout for offense or defense. By collecting crystals and other materials, you upgrade your hull and systems and unlock new capabilities. Customization options include different hull materials (Titanium, Carbon, Alloy, Gold), laser styles (Doubled, Lightning, Digital), and collectible badges (Pirate, Invader, Reddit, Youtuber, Paw, Star). More materials, lasers, and badges are planned after launch to expand your options.

Game modes: Survival challenges you to mine, upgrade, steal crystals, and survive as long as possible while facing constant ambushes. Team mode splits players into three factions, each with a base space station. Mine crystals, return them to upgrade your own base, and disrupt enemy bases by attacking missions or destroying stations. Roles within teams include defending your station, mining, escorting large but slower mining ships, assaulting enemy missions, or attacking their stations. Deathmatch drops you into rounds where you choose one of two ships per match and rack up points by destroying targets; the first to 12 points wins and your performance feeds the Pro Deathmatch Championship leaderboard. An additional, highly anticipated mode will be unveiled on release day.

Sandbox and customization tools: Starblast includes a custom game creator so you can assemble private sandboxes or public events with adjustable options. Change map size, asteroid patterns, crystal value, asteroid strength, ship speed, starting ship, number of teams, and base size. You can share your creations with friends or host public or private events, letting the community participate in your own evolutions of Starblast’s playgrounds.

Procedural arenas and ongoing content: the game uses procedural generation to create varied star systems and asteroid fields, so no two matches feel the same. The ongoing development path adds more materials, lasers, badges, and other cosmetic and gameplay options to keep the universe fresh. Pro Deathmatch Championship provides a permanently running esports competition with global leaderboards, offering persistent competition beyond a single session.

See you in-game, Commander, as you push to master the ship tree, wield powerful weapons, and carve your name across the stars.
