Sid Meier's Civilization® VI: Byzantium & Gaul Pack description
Experience the rich history and strategic challenges in the Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Byzantium & Gaul Pack. This expansion introduces two new civilizations: the Byzantine Empire, led by Basil II, and Gaul, under the leadership of Ambiorix.
The Byzantine Empire excels in subjugating foes using both military and religious strength. Their unique abilities include the Taxis, which enhances Combat Strength or Religious Strength based on converted Holy Cities, and the leader special ability Porphyrogénnētos, which allows cavalry units to deal full damage against cities of the same religion. Unique units consist of the Dromon Ship, with extended range, and the Tagma, providing boosts to nearby land forces. The Hippodrome district offers cheaper construction and grants additional Amenities.
Meanwhile, Gaul's unique ability, Hallstatt Culture, allows Mines to enhance district bonuses and creates Culture Bombs. Ambiorix’s ability boosts Culture based on the cost of non-civilian units trained. The unique Gaesatae unit gains Combat Strength against stronger foes, while the Oppidum district provides defense and production benefits.
This pack also includes new gameplay mechanics like the Dramatic Ages game mode, offering profound strategic changes and challenges. Explore, conquer, and thrive in this dynamic addition to Civilization VI!
