ROOT — A Fantasy 3D RPG

Step into a rich world where five cities cradle diverse peoples—humans, undead, dwarves, and forgotten beings. In ROOT you take on quests, follow intertwined stories, and grow your hero from a novice to a legendary figure, as the fate of the realm hangs in the balance.

Story and Goal

As the steward of Project S, a plan to avert the looming apocalypse, you travel back in time to halt the war that shattered the world. Refine your skills, craft powerful equipment, and confront forces determined to derail the mission. Survive harsh wastelands, lava zones, and murky swamps full of monsters, all while uncovering clues about your own past to secure the future.

Core Gameplay

• Profession and Progression: choose a path at the start and continually sharpen abilities and gear as you explore.
• Exploration and Survival: traverse desolate landscapes, clear obstacles, and collect essential materials for the mission.
• Gathering, Crafting, and Trading: mine minerals, harvest herbs, hunt monsters, forge weapons and armor, brew potions, or sell resources to merchants to fund your equipment.
• Equipment Maintenance: enhance gear with gems and enchantment dust to boost health, defense, mana, and energy. Seek higher-tier items through hunting, gathering, and crafting.
• Combat and Mystery: face foes whose behavior hints at larger secrets. Growth reveals deeper truths about the break with allied cities and the strange forces at work.

Environments and Enemies

Venture across a living map: arid wastelands, blazing lava zones, and fog-wrapped swamps challenge your strategy and supply lines. Monsters react to the approaching apocalypse, adding danger and mystery to every expedition.

World and Progress

Track your growth not only by power, but by the connections you forge and the choices you make. The journey tests courage, loyalty, and wit as you uncover secrets that could rewrite the future.
