This content pack for Sid Meier's Civilization® VI introduces the Vietnam civilization led by Bà Triệu and Kublai Khan as an alternate leader for either China or Mongolia. The Vietnamese civilization features a unique ability called "Nine Dragon River Delta," allowing all land specialty districts to be built on Rainforest, Marsh, or Woods tiles, enhancing their yields in Science, Production, or Culture. Bà Triệu's leader ability, "Drive Out the Aggressors," boosts combat strength for units in those specific terrains, offers increased Movement, and strengthens tiles owned by Vietnam.
Vietnam's unique unit is the Voi Chiến, a powerful Medieval era ranged unit that can move after attacking, and its unique building, the Thành, generates additional Culture and later transforms Culture into Tourism. The pack also introduces Kublai Khan, whose unique ability "Gerege" provides an extra Economic policy slot and additional bonuses when establishing Trading Posts, with stronger benefits depending on whether he leads China or Mongolia.
The "Monopolies and Corporations" game mode enhances economic strategies by rewarding players for controlling resources. Players can create Industries and Corporations to provide buffs and trade products, while monopolizing Luxury resources brings increased Tourism. Additionally, a new Preserve district allows players to gain Housing and Culture-bomb adjacent tiles, with new buildings like the Grove and Sanctuary to enhance yields. This expansion offers rich strategic depth for both new and seasoned players.
