Graviteam Tactics: Leopard's Leap description
Graviteam Tactics: Leopard's Leap
The game immerses players in the intense conflicts of the Angolan Civil War, specifically focusing on the strategic maneuvers of the 21st FAPLA Motorized Rifle Brigade. Tasked with advancing from Cuito-Cuanavale towards the vital river Lomba, the brigade aimed to establish a foothold near Mavinga, where a crucial airstrip awaited to enhance their offensive capabilities against UNITA's headquarters in Jamba.
As players engage in this historically rich simulation, they will navigate the intricacies of military strategy, including the construction of a pontoon bridge to facilitate the movement of heavy vehicles across the river. The unfolding events lead to direct confrontations with the South African Defence Force (SADF), who intervenes in support of UNITA. This clash marks the first significant battle of Operation Moduler, challenging players to adapt their tactics amidst a chaotic battlefield.
Leopard's Leap features a meticulously recreated 60 sq. km area along the middle reaches of the Lomba River, alongside an accurate representation of the organizational structure of military units from the time. Special attention is given to the innovative deployment of the Ratel ZT3 ATGM, further enriching the strategic experience of this tactical simulator.
