Tank Warfare: Operation Pugilist

Experience the intense battles of the spring offensive during World War II in Tank Warfare: Operation Pugilist. Set against the backdrop of Eastern Tunisia, players take command of the British forces as they attempt to break through the formidable Mareth defensive line. The battle begins with heavy bombing and a coordinated fire assault, involving the 50th Northumberland Infantry Division and the 50th Royal Tank Regiment.

The objective is to successfully navigate and conquer the coastal fortifications, as Infantry from the 8th Battalion Durham Light Infantry engage in critical maneuvers across the Wadi Zigzaou. Two vital bridgeheads—Ouerzi and Ksiba Ouest—are captured, but the river's flooding poses a significant risk, threatening to collapse essential crossings for tanks and artillery.

Players will partake in two operations, each consisting of 12 intense turns, meticulously recreated within a vast area of over 100 square kilometers that features diverse landscapes such as seashores, strong points, oases, and challenging desert terrains. Historical unit organizations are authentically presented, providing a genuine feel of the era’s military strategy and tactics.
